A Writer's Block

34

No matter how much you feel deflated or unattached, you will again find yourself swaying in the rhythm of your favourite music, your beloved books will again inspire you to read them and the world will again invite you to fall into its arms.
There are days when you feel like nothing's going to happen. You won't be able to publish your novel in the coming future. You won't be able to paint your mind out on the canvas again. You won't be able to find the chef in you again. But one day, it changes. Your mind backflips. Not because of something. Not someone. But your own dignified self. You find yourself tapping your foot to that old song which reminds you of someone in your childhood, you find that you don't need to be Picasso to paint again, you find yourself remembering the good old days when one of your best friend's cooking had made you learn it due to jealousy (I'll tell you one thing for sure: Jealousy can make you do anything; not that I've had many experiences but quite a few.), and lastly, you find that making the first draft of your book isn't a tedious task. Yes, it will take time - humongous time - but one day it will.
Some people like me don't take themselves seriously, do they? It takes an awful lot of courage to listen to your inner self and shut out the biased and practical comments of the society on your issues. Hope this practice continues with time. I can't afford to kill my dreams due to this bad habit.
