Getting up late in the morning in your 'preparatory leave' before the
board exams and hugging a pillow so that your mumma's and dad's voice is ignored
partially is somewhat a ‘morning-destructor’. This morning’s wind was very childish
and that’s what woke me up today- the flapping sound of the curtains.
The winter in the coastal regions is
not the winter you get out there up in the north but it’s more like a simple
and plain weather here. Yeah, that’s the right word for it. Although I don’t
live in the coastal region, it’s somewhat very close to it. The place where I
live is surrounded by valleys and hills like a boundary guarding a fort from
the enemies. And this is the reason why it rains heavily here. High ended trees
and greenery all over, especially on the hills, attracts more clouds.
When I was a child, I would think that
the trees just called up the clouds so that they could shake them and free them
of all the water they had been holding for so long just like a mother does to a
child after bathing so that she could rub off all the water from the wet hair.
It was amazing to let your imagination run like horses with no limitations and
no boundaries. You could think of everything and anything ‘because if you’re
wrong, there’s someone to teach you and if you’re right, there’s no one to
criticize.
Is the starting of adulthood all about thinking of the time when you
enjoyed freely? When there were no restrictions?
