Cooking is my passion other than writing. And what's really shocking is that I rarely eat what I cook. Nah! Don't worry! you won't die from eating it, at least my parents are alive till now after my "experiments". It's not the reason that I don't appreciate my food or it isn't delicious but at the end my appetite just vanishes and I kinda feel like I have done a service. The food that I make is spicy, tasty and mouth-watering(No it isn't 'Tareef-e-khud-ki' but it surely is delicious, you should taste it sometime).
Now back to the main topic. I was on my usual routine of listening to songs on Youtube while surfing the web after a long week of attending the exams when suddenly there was a voice and not the music. It was an ad on Australia Tourism in which Maria-the host was visiting a Sydney Restaurant where almost at every corner and nook, there's a resto with a 'Backyard Garden'. I was so overwhelmed by that fact that I made it a dream of mine to visit these restos 'cause I too am fascinated by these li'l gardens where you can grow thyme, rosemary, mint and even 'chocolate' - the plant not the bi-product.
Sorry to low down your expectations but what interests me most is the fact that you can capture the flavor just at the back of your house and then you don't have to worry about the nuisance created by the lack of ingredients while cooking food. These plant or I should say 'chubby li'l packs of seasoning' are way better than salt or pepper. Of course you can't enhance the flavor of your food without salt, pepper to be the least but you can surely enhance the power of salt and the delicacy of your food by adding these herbs. It brings out the hidden flavor, freshness and flora inside your kitchen. My favourite herb is 'Cilantro' known by the usual name 'coriander'.
Go on! Indulge in the love of herbs. you'll love it. Yumm!
